Daniel Addy Botha ALSA, RFP, LFP

Danie has been in the insurance industry since 1969 commencing as an executive consultant, promoted to Branch Manager then District Manager prior to leaving in 1992 to set up Billington Brokers (Pty) Ltd Danie is the current Managing Director, is a registered financial planner with the FPI(Financial Planning Institute) is an Associate member of LUASA, has a Higher Certificate in Financial Planning from the Damelin School of Banking.   He has been admitted as a Licentiate Financial Planner (LFP) by LUASA in April 2006. Danie holds accreditations for all products offered by the Insurance companies with whom Billington Brokers holds broking agreements. Danie is also an accredited health care broker registered with the Council for Medical Schemes. Danie is passionate about the insurance industry and always places his clients interests first.

 Carol Botha

Carol has been involved in the insurance industry since the inception of Billington Brokers in 1992. Carol is involved in the administration of the brokerage and is the in-house Compliance Officer for Billington Brokers. Carol was awarded a Higher Certificate in Financial Planning from Damelin School of Banking, and was admitted as a Licentiate Financial Planner (LFP) by LUASA in April, 2006. Carol has a National Certificate in Short Term Insurance – Commercial, passing with distinction. Carol ensures that Billington Brokers clients receive priority and retain the right to the best premiums for the best comprehensive cover, coupled with service and advice. 

Amanda Grobler

Amanda joined Billington Brokers in 1999 as the Short Term Administration manager.   Amanda has been in the insurance industry since 1981 and is very experienced in her field, particularly as an administration and claims manager. She obtained her required accreditation through the Damelin School of Banking and been awarded  her National Certificate in Short Term Insurance.   Amanda is much respected by Billington’s clients for her knowledge and willingness to assist them in obtaining the best attention and service at all times, from all underwriters and insurers utilized by Billington’s.

Marie Schoombie

Marie has joined Billington Brokers as personal assistant to Danie. Marie has many years of experience in the medical aid industry, particularly in the marketing and administration thereof. She thrives on solving clients’ claims settlements, and any problems encountered with their medical aid. Marie is knowledgeable in all the life and investment products marketed by Billingtons and is a very willing listener. As a client of Billington Brokers, you will have spoken to her recently or you will do shortly, as she updates her records and ensures that Billington’s remain compliant in both FAIS and FICA legislation. Marie has completed the basic course in insurance through Damelin School of Banking and Insurance earning 30 credits. She intends continuing her studies in the New Year.  

Marcelle Engelbrecht

Marcelle joined Billington Brokers as an administration Assistant to Amanda Grobler. Marcelle’s expertise and passion is in the claims administration, registration and settlements. Marcelle has been in the insurance industry for a number of years, gaining experience in underwriting, new business and policy servicing. Marcelle has an enviable disposition, being unflappable, gentle and reassuring - all at the same time. Marcelle has completed the basic introduction to insurance earning 32 credits, and intends continuing her studies in the New Year.
